Annual Resale Certificate Required February 1, 2000
The new sale-for-resale system mandated by the 1999 Legislature to help control fraud goes into effect February 1, 2000. As of that date, old resale certificates are no longer valid. Active registered dealers should receive a new annual resale certificate before February first, and before the annual expiration on December 31st of each subsequent year. Copies of this annual certificate should be given to each vendor each year. A Tax Information Publication about the new system is available on the Department of Revenue's Internet site, http://sun6.dms.state.fl.us/dor/index.html.
